China to Conduct Four Deep Space Exploration Missions on Mars, Asteroids, Jupiter

China will conduct four deep space exploration missions before 2030, including probes to Mars, asteroids and Jupiter apart from a lunar probe, according to the China National Space Administration (CNSA).

China will complete its third phase of the lunar project with the spacecraft being able to automatically collect samples on the moon and return to the Earth by 2020. China is also set to launch its first Mars probe around 2020, said Zhao Jian, deputy director of the Department of Systemic Engineering under the CNSA after attending a seminar Monday on the sidelines of the 12th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai City of south China's Guangdong Province.

He added that an astronomical satellite jointly developed by China and France will be launched in 2021 to observe black holes and gamma-ray bursts. In addition, three experimental satellites will also be launched to explore gravitational waves. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20181106...
